On the cover: The BBC has proven time and again that it knows how to produce underwater documentary series that are second to none. In its latest outing, the British broadcaster produced Oceans, an eight part series that dives into our water planet from arctic to equator, recording spectacular high definition video images to captivate viewers. Pictured is biologist Toon Mahto, who marvels over the leafy sea dragon, a species endemic to a small area of Australia's marine wilderness.

Organizers using popular scuba websites and Blogs to recruit 1,000 divers this July in Ohio quarry

Will the power of the Internet be able to attract over a 1,000 people to an Ohio quarry next July? A group of Great Lakes divers wanting to set a Guinness World record hope so. They are contacting dive related websites and Blogs to publicize their attempt to break the current record for 'the Most Divers Submerged at One Time'.

A decommissioned Indian Navy ship has become the country’s newest artificial reef. A 162-tonne patrol boat was sunk earlier this year off the Karnataka coast in the Arabian Sea.
