A Florida scuba diver has been killed after his tank was struck by lightning.
Associate Press is reporting that  "Deerfield Beach resident Stephen Wilson was diving with three others off a boat near Deerfield Beach when a severe thunderstorm warning was in effect in the area.

When he surfaced, "Lighting struck his tank," said Deerfield Beach fire Chief Gary Fernaays. "He was approximately 30 feet from the boat at the time."

Wilson's three diving  buddies got the injured diver into their boat and called for help.  A Pompano Beach rescue crew could not revive the diver and he was pronounced dead.  An autopsy determined that the man had died of electrocution.
