The Cayman tourism minister has made it a point to come to Canada to meet with the media and members of the travel industry. This was the third year in a row, Charles Clifford, has been in Toronto.
While in Canada the Minister’s staff talked to Diver Magazine about the new 365 Project.
The Ministry of Tourism estimates that there are297 moored dive sites amongst Cayman’s three islands. The local dive industry is working with the government on Dive 365, a project that will install an additional 68 moorings over the next three to five years. The goal is to have 365 moored sites – a different dive site for every day of the year – which will be a new marketing theme for 2009.
